What these tables are, and what they are not.
The Final-Paycheck Rules and Noncompete Rules tables are reference data compiled from statutes and agency publications. They are not legal advice, not a legal opinion, and not a substitute for reading the cited statute or consulting a licensed attorney about a specific situation.
Every row carries its citation and its verification date for exactly this reason: check the cell against the primary source before relying on it. Laws change, thresholds are adjusted, and a cell that was correct on its last_verified date may later change. Feed alerts and correction notices reduce that gap; they do not remove the need to verify a consequential decision against the source.
As stated in the license, the data is provided AS IS, with warranties disclaimed in the legal sense, and liability capped at the fees paid for the data in the preceding 12 months. The standing process claim — every row verified against the statute and dated — is described on the How We Verify page, alongside what is never claimed.
